Cheney

Congregational Church

Everyone is invited to be with us for an hour Sunday mornings. We are a community of seekers and we welcome people in all stages of spiritual journey and all diversities of life value. Pastor Rev. David Krueger-Duncan will continue the Easter season lessons on the topic of resurrection. Music will be provided by the choir, singing “If I Get My Ticket” by Roy L. Belfield, Jr.

Please stay after for coffee, refreshments and conversation. You will feel welcomed.

Choir practice starts at 5 p.m. Thursdays and all singers and wanna-be singers are welcome. Feed Cheney takes place at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 30, at the Wren Pierson Building. Our sanctuary will be the location of a piano recital by the students of the studio of Janet Hubbard at 5 p.m., May 20.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome to worship with us this Sunday, April 29, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Coffee hour follows the worship service. Christian education for children through adults begins at 9 a.m.

You may also watch our pastor’s sermons on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

St. John’s Lutheran Church

All people, all faiths, always welcome. Worship is Sunday mornings. Children from 3 years old to sixth-grade are invited to attend Sunday school during part of the worship service. Adult Bible study is at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.

Since we are in the process of remodeling the front of the church building, everyone needs to enter at the back in the ramp area. Most parking is available close to that entrance. We hope you will come join us.

We have a fellowship time with refreshments downstairs following worship, and we invite you to share in that as well so we can get better acquainted.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside this Sunday.

Attention all college students: The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, meets each Monday evening at 5 p.m. for dinner, study and worship, and invites all college students to join us. For more information contact Soule at (509) 844-2553.

Choir practice is each Thursday at 6:15 p.m., continuing under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

For your contemplation: “People must not only hear about the kingdom of God, but must see it in actual operation, on a small scale perhaps and in imperfect form, but a real demonstration nevertheless.” – Pandita Ramabai, Indian Christian and Reformer.

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship at the United Methodist Church this Sunday morning. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will continue a sermon series based on the musical cantata, “Our Father,” by Pepper Chaplin. The choir will perform “Let Your Kingdom Come” from the cantata. Sunday school classes for elementary and middle school students precede worship at 9 a.m.

A warm, inclusive welcome awaits you at Cheney UMC.
