StageWest's 'Seeds of Change' offers local flavor

April 12, 2018

StageWest presents its latest productions, “Seeds of Change,” written by local author Craig Rickett and directed by Nancy Kuonen.

In “Seeds of Change,” three sisters, Nazarene spinsters all, live with the blessings and burdens of their parent’s strict religious upbringing. Two of the sisters, Chastity and Faith, work diligently to keep a decrepit mission-kitchen operating while caring for their eldest sister, Joy.

When a new neighbor moves in down the hall, and a mysterious package of seeds arrives in the mail, the constraints on the women’s existence are finally broken, revealing a world of wonder, opportunity and the understanding that it is never too late to come of age.

Performances are Fridays, April 20, 27, and May 4 at 7 p.m., Saturdays, April 21 and 28 at 7 p.m. and Sundays, April 22, 29 and May 6 at 3 p.m. A special dinner theatre, catered by Mike Hartman, will be at the Saturday, May 5 performance at 6 p.m.

Dinner is by reservation only and costs $30 per person, with reservations made and paid for by May 4. Regular performance ticket prices are adults–$12, seniors–$10 and students with valid school identification–$5.

Groups of 10 or more get a $2 per person discount (discount is not good with dinner theatre). All performances are at 639 Elm St. in Cheney.

For information or reservations contact Nancy Kuonen at (509) 768-4792.
