Northern Quest releases summer concert series lineup

Northern Quest Resort and Casino rolled out a big lineup for the eighth annual Pepsi Outdoor Summer Concert series that includes 14 performances.

There was also a recent addition of grandstand seating, increasing capacity by about 1,000 seats to a total of 5,000 at the outdoor venue.

The fun starts off on June 18 with country music band Little Big Town. The opening act will also be Jameson Rodgers. Little Big Town has had a handful of No. 1 singles including "Pontoon," "Girl Crush," and "Better Man." Tickets start at $69 and go on sale March 31.

The next concert is on June 28 with the "I love the 90's Tour." The group includes Salt N Pepa, Vanilla Ice, Sir Mix-a-lot, ColorMeBadd and YoungMC. Tickets start at $39 and can be bought starting March 31.

Next up is the band Incubus with Minus the Bear. Incubus has sold more than 23 million albums worldwide and a No. 1 song, "Drive." Two other singles also reached No. 1 including "Anna Molly" and "Love Hurts." They just released an eighth studio album in 2017. Tickets begin at $49 and are available March 31.

John Fogerty continues the series on July 17. His hit songs include "Proud Mary," "Down on the Corner," "Bad Moon Rising," "Green River," and "Fortunate Son." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His tickets begin at $49 and go on sale March 31.

Brad Paisley is the next country music star arriving to the Pacific Northwest on July 27. His album, "Love and War" has his most recent No. 1 song "Today" and is also his ninth studio album to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country music chart. He currently has 24 No. 1 songs to claim. Tickets begin at $69 and are available March 31.

On Aug. 3, Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss will perform. Nelson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1993. Krauss has performed since the age of 10 and has won 27 Grammy Awards. Tickets start at $59 and are available on March 31.

Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias is the only comedian to be showcased at Northern Quest on Aug. 9. He is considered one of America's most successful stand-up comedians and is one of the most watched performers on YouTube with over 350 million views. Tickets begin at $39 and go on sale April 7.

The band Train continues the entertainment on Aug. 10. The band is known for hit songs such as "Hey Soul Sister" and "Drops of Jupiter." With 25 years of making music, they have released 10 studio albums and have sold over 10 million of them. Tickets begin at $59 and go on sale April 7.

Next up is the band Alabama on Aug. 15. The group started an unbreakable streak of 21 No. 1 singles in a row with "My Home's in Alabama" and "Tennessee River." The band now has a total of 43 No. 1 songs and 178 CMA, Grammy and ACM awards. They have also earned 21 gold, platinum and multiplatinum albums. Their tickets begin at $49 and are available April 7.

Huey Lewis and the News will perform on Aug. 19. The band has written and performed some classic top-10 hits included "Heart of Rock and Roll," "Stuck with You," and "Workin' for a Living." They are also widely-known for songs from the move "Back to the Future." Tickets start at $49 and are ready to buy April 7.

The next country music act to perform is Kane Brown with opening act Granger Smith on Sept. 9. Brown is the first artist to reach No. 1 simultaneously on all five main Billboard country charts. His hits include "Heaven," "Thunder in the Rain" and "What Ifs." Smith is also known for his debut single "Backroad Song." Tickets start at $39 and go on sale April 7.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show will arrive on Sept. 13. This group formed in 1988 and sold over 4 million tickets in 35 countries. The band has sold several live concert DVDs and CDs and performed their first international Pink Floyd fan convention in 1993. Tickets begin at $39 and go on sale April 7.

On Sept. 18, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will perform. They are famous for their hit "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Jett has also released 12 studio albums and became a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. Joining the band will also be Cheap Trick as the opening act. Tickets start at $49 and go on sale April 7.

Closing out the concert series will be Rascal Flatts on Sept. 22. The band has released 10 studio albums and 16 No. 1 singles. Some of their top its include "These Days," "Bless the Broken Road," "What Hurts the Most" and "I Like the Sound of That." They have had 23 million records sold since their career debuted in 2000. Tickets start at $69 and go on sale April 7.
