One question was answered, but the bigger once remains as Eastern Washington University released its 2018 football schedule.
A previously open date has been filled when the University of Idaho plays at Roos Field on Oct. 27 after a 20-plus year absence.
The open Sept. 1 date remains so with work going on to fill that slot.
Eastern plays a Sept. 15 non-conference game at Washington State. The Eagles earned one of the biggest victories in program history with a 45-42 Eagle upset to open the 2016 season.
Eastern opens league play Sept. 22 at home versus Cal Poly (1-10/1-7 Big Sky) on Hall of Fame Day at EWU. They also host Southern Utah (Oct. 6) and U.C. Davis (Nov. 10)
The Eagles finished 5-3 in league play a year ago en route to an overall 7-4 finish, but missed the FCS playoffs.
