Heritage Baptist Church

Next Sunday, March 25, is celebrated by Christian churches as Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday has been celebrated over the centuries as the day when the Lord Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey announcing to the world that he was the Messiah (Mathew 21:4 – 11).

Jesus chose to ride on a donkey fulfilling prophecy (Zech. 9:9). The donkey symbolizes the peace that the victory over death that Jesus the “prince of peace” brings those who believe.

The people shouted Hosanna as they traveled with Jesus into Jerusalem. Hosanna means “save now” or Savior.

Palm Sunday reminds us that the reign of Jesus will be great. Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for our sin can set us free. Please join us at Heritage Baptist Church for a celebration of Jesus’ triumphant entrance of Jerusalem.
