Rolan sprints into spotlight

Former Medical Lake track star shines as a collegian, too

Eastern Washington University track coaches did not need to go far to recruit a sprint star.

Just a 10-mile trip down Salnave Road to Medical Lake netted them Lexi Rolan.

The former two-time 1A state champion in the 100 and 200 meters seems to have transcended well to Division I collegiate athletics. Among the proof was Rolan being named Big Sky Conference Female Freshman of the Year.
