Eastern season ends with 87-65 loss

Bogdan Bliznyuk, seen here in Big Sky Conference tournament action against Southern Utah, became the league's all-time career scoring leader breaking the 24-year old record of 2,102 set by Idaho's Orlando Lightfoot. He scored 2,169 points in four seasons.

The Eastern Washington men saw their season come to an end Tuesday night in Orem, Utah following an 87-65 loss to Utah Valley State University in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational.

Bogdan Bliznyuk scored a game-high 27 points in his final college action and in the process eclipsed the single-season EWU scoring record of former teammate Tyler Harvey 741-738.
