On Saturday, March 3, the Inland Empire Hockey Association hosted a "Try Hockey For Free" event at the Eastern Washington University's ice rink located in the University Recreation Center. The session got youngsters of all ages on the West Plains a taste of the sport, in hopes of growing interest with the "Warhorse" organization that now calls Cheney home. Nearly 50 kids took part in the activity. Free Press reporter Paul Delaney caught some of the action.
