Ted Fausett,

Ted Fausett, 66, passed away on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at his home in Cheney.

Ted was quite the character. Born on May 3, 1951 in Wallace, Idaho, he spent most of his childhood and adolescence breaking the rules throughout Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. He graduated from Cheney High School in 1970 where he met his wonderful wife, Roxanne.

He later started a trucking company and spent many years operating heavy machinery and doing excavation work. He also had an incredible passion for cars, and worked on them any chance he got. Ted had a meticulous eye for perfection and saw the value in things that many people overlooked.

A collector of anything "cool" and unique, the house he built with his wife was filled with things that he loved. Ted lived an extraordinary life, and had all the stories to prove it.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Roxanne Fausett, and his two sons Harley Dale and Jared Ray. Also his mother Shirley Payton, his sisters Lonny Fausett and Elena Madrid, and his brothers Bob Fausett, Rick Fausett and Dean Madrid. Ted was preceded in death by his father William "Bill" Fausett, and brothers Ronny and Billy Fausett.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3 at noon at the Cheney Funeral Chapel located on 1632 West First St. A celebration of life is to follow at the Wren Pierson Community Center from 2 -4 p.m. Food contributions are welcome and drinks will be provided. Condolences can be sent to roxfausett@gmail.com. Visit the online guest book at cheneyfuneral.com.
