New apartment complex proposed in S.W. Cheney

Cheney’s planning department has received an application for construction of a new 85-unit apartment complex in the southwest portion of the city.

Cheney Park Apartments are proposed for construction on two parcels of land at 1026 First St., just north of Salnave Glen Apartments. The project applicant is Beacon Builders of Spokane.

Beacon is proposing construction take place in three phases, one building per phase, with work on an initial 36 units beginning in spring 2018, pending approval of the application. At full build out, it is anticipated 144 individuals would live in the complex, gener...
