Eastern broadcaster Larry Weir reaches play-by-play milestone

By a really weird coincidence, Larry Weir now knows he reached a milestone Dec. 3 at KeyArena in Seattle.

The long-time Eastern Washington University radio announcer called his 1,000th Eagle men’s basketball or football game that day, a fact which was discovered a day later by happenstance.

Weir recently concluded his 27th season as the football voice of the Eagles, whose games are broadcast on 700-AM ESPN.
