StageWest brings back 1940s-era radio dramas
StageWest Community Theatre is turning back time to the 1940s with its upcoming presentation of the popular Charles Dickens’ story “A Christmas Carol.”
During those years, most homes had a radio as television was not yet invented and in the evening families would gather around the radio to listen to their favorite programs, such as “The Shadow,” “The Jack Benny Show,” “George Burns and Gracie Allen,” and “The Whistler” to name a few.
