LOOKING BACK WITH THE CHENEY HISTORICAL MUSEUM

Seventy-five years ago, on October 15 1942, the Tilicum Club sponsored the teachers’ reception for 160 Cheney teachers and guests in the social room of the laboratory school in Martin Hall. The event had an American Indian theme with baskets, pottery and shawls. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home of Spokane provided a film “Echoes of the Past” depicting Indian homes, ceremonies and scenes on the upper Columbia river prior to the building of Grand Coulee Dam.
