The Cheney High School Blackhawks ended their season with a tough loss 28-7 to Pullman (4-3, 2-1) on Senior Night, Oct. 20. The loss brought Cheney’s overall record to 0-8 on the year and 0-4 in the Great Northern League.
In the first quarter, neither team was able to score, but Cheney’s defense had some sparks throughout the 12 minutes. Jacob McGourin recorded two sacks and Jalen Philips made an interception on a Pullman third and goal play with three minutes left to keep the Greyhounds from scoring.
