The Cheney High girls swimming team notched their first dual-meet win of the season with a 113-34 victory over visiting Clarkston last Friday at Eastern Washington University’s pool. The Blackhawks won eight of the 11 events, and went 1-2-3 in two.
Lauren O’Callaghan, Juliet Richards and Courtney Hanson got Cheney going in the individual events with first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, 200 individual medley and 50 freestyle. O’Callaghan took the 200 free with a time of 2 minutes, 34.52 seconds while Richards won the IM in 2:42.45 and Hanson the 50 free in 28.16.
