Geiger scores ‘em all in Cards win
Makayla Geiger had just another career game Sept. 11.
The senior forward scored all five Medical Lake goals in a 5-1 Northeast A League win over Newport that was rescheduled from Sept. 7 due to problems with wildfire smoke.
Geiger, who scored 14 times last season and set a school record with 21 career goals, opened scoring for the Cards (1-1) at the 20-minute mark. After Newport’s Chloe Clark tied it, Geiger gave her team a lead they would not surrender at 30 minutes.
