The 1967 Eastern Washington State College Savages football team had a magical season under coach Dave Holmes that led to the NAIA national championship game versus Fairmont State College of West Virginia. The team lost just once that season, 28-21 in the title game played at Morgantown, W.V. at the University of West Virginia.
That team was honored on its 50th anniversary prior to the 2017 Eastern Washington season opening game Sept. 9 versus North Dakota State. Recognize any familiar faces.
