The Cheney Blackhawks opened up their season with a 27-13 loss to Sunnyside. Charles Johnson and Camden Verstrate were the main targets for quarterback Cole Hinrichs in the season opener. The Blackhawks will host North Central this Friday, Sept. 8, at Tom Oswald Field in Cheney. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
