Airway Heights council discusses recreation center

At the Aug. 14 study session meeting, Airway Heights council discussed the funds for the future recreation center. There were only two council members that showed up, making it not an “executive” meeting as there needs to be at least four members present.

J.C. Kennedy, the parks and recreation director, briefly went over the issues that have come up in the recreation center.

The Lydig ALSC team, who Airway Heights chose to build the center, is in the process of validation for the proposal that they submitted, which will be completed by no later than Oct. 1. Their initial meetings with...
