In a way, Aaron Best might have been there and done that as he ascends to the role of head football coach at Eastern Washington University.

Best likens the role he assumes to that of being a parent as his EKGs — Eastern Kinda’ Guys — take to the field today, Aug. 3, for the first day of drills that lead up to their season opener, Sept. 2 versus Texas Tech in Lubbock.

“Here’s the best way to put it, it’s a lot like parenting,” Best said. It’s something he knows pretty well as he and wife Kim have three young children.
