Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome to worship with us this Sunday, July 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. You may also watch our pastor’s sermon’s on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. Christian education resumes in September.

Emmanuel wishes to thank the community for participating and supporting our Vacation Bible School program last week. Thank you also to the Lutherhaven staff for leading the week’s activities.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and free community pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food and personal care items are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Thank you for your continued support.

Four Lakes Community Church

A non-denominational Village Missions Church. We exist to exalt the Lord, to educate and edify the saints and evangelize the lost. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and worship service 10:45 a.m. All are welcome.

Our upcoming sermon series will be on Ephesians 3:20-21 entitled “To God Be the Glory” by pastor Sean Carney. Our worship services combine contemporary choruses and traditional hymns.

Join us for Wednesday music practice at 6:30 p.m. and Friday morning men’s breakfast and Bible study at 7 p.m. Vacation Bible School will be July 31 — Aug. 4.

Our community garden is growing, the vegetables ripening. We look forward to all summer giving its proceeds to the Cheney Food Bank.

Attention all college students: The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry is on break for the summer. ELM will resume meeting each Monday evening at 5 p.m. for dinner, study and worship come Sept. 7. For more information contact Soule at 844-2553.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Join us for Sunday School “Lessons All Grown Up” as pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson continues a new sermon series this week at the United Methodist Church. The book of Esther will be explored during worship this week.

Immediately after the service the ad hoc committee on programs will share their work at a town hall gathering. All are encouraged to join in conversation as we look at long range plans for our church.

Vacation Bible School is almost here. Mark your calendar now for Aug. 6-10 for this year’s program “Passport to Peru.” Please call the church office at 235-4600 for additional information on VBS and other study opportunities.
