The West Plains Bandits 16-18U softball team got their 2017 season under way by competing in the Summer Warm Up tournament at Carlon Park in Selah, June 17–18. The Bandits, composed of four players each from Cheney and Medical Lake along with other area cities, placed second in the Gold Division, going 4-2 and losing to the Spokane Scream in the championship game.
