Spring thaw gets the local rail traffic flowing

Grain trains are ringing the Highline Grain facility in Four Lakes with more frequency due to delays in receiving rail cars caused by winter.

It's no illusion that more grain trains appear to be circling the Highline terminal at Four Lakes.

"The winter has been pretty hard on everybody," Keith Bailey, general manager and CEO of Ag Ventures said. And that's created the backlog evident by the rings of cars that seem to be daily sights to travelers along Interstate 90.

Ag Ventures are the owners of the loading facility that recently celebrated its first year of operation in mid-April.
