May is SCRAPS' 'Amnesty Month' for pet licenses

The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) has declared May as “Amnesty Month.”

Local pet owners can license their pet and SCRAPS will waive penalty and late fees until May 31. The penalty fee is $20 added to the cost of the license if the pet is over six months of age and owners acquired the animal or resided in Spokane County over 30 days.

Every dog and cat in Spokane County is required by law to have a license. Pet owners purchase a new license or renew an existing one at the SCRAPS office at 6815 E. Trent Ave., SpokAnimal Care or the Spokane Humane Society. The...
