Veteran’s benefits seminar
Attention military veterans.
Representatives from the Spokane Veteran’s Center are conducting outreach seminars to the surrounding community in an effort to update personnel on changes to benefits and policies. Representatives will be in Cheney Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. – noon at the American Legion/VFW Hall located at 116 College Ave.
They will provide a short introduction and briefing then open the floor up for questions. All veterans are welcome to attend. For more information contact Carl Close at (509) 294-7471.
ML Kiwanis seeking photos
The Medical Lake Kiwanis Club is looking for photos of the Medical Lake area for its annual community birthday calendar. Photos can be new, current pictures or older images of the past.
The Kiwanis Club will select one photo to be placed on the cover of its 2016 Kiwanis Community Birthday Calendar. Photos may be emailed to waterman53@centurytel.net.

StageWest needs actress
StageWest Community Theatre is still in need of one lady actress, age 20 – 60-ish for its next production, “Anne of Green Gables.” Rehearsals begin soon and the performances are the first three weekends of October.
