Feed Cheney on June 30

Feed Cheney is happening in Veterans Park for the summer, across the street from the Wren Pierson Building, corner of Fourth and C streets. During summer the meals will be brown bag suppers available to all from 5:30-6:30 p.m. There will also be a grocery distribution. The June meal and groceries will be Monday, June 30. 

Feed Cheney is a partnership between Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, 2nd Harvest, Let’s Move Cheney, and several Cheney churches and is staffed by many community volunteers. To volunteer, write to feedcheney@gmail.com or visit http://www.feedcheney.org for more information.

Feed ML fundraiser June 28

Feed Medical Lake has a busy schedule beginning with a fund-raising dinner Saturday, June 28, 4-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Chruch with sausage, hot German potato salad, coleslaw and ice cream. There is a suggested donation of $8 per person or $20 per family.

A second picnic-style dinner will be served during the summer June 30, July 28 and Aug. 28. These are in addition to the regular meals on the second Monday of each month. Call Joanna at (509) 714-1150 for more information.

Rodeo parade sign ups open

Registration for the annual Cheney Rodeo Days parade is now open. The parade takes place Saturday, July 12, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Cheney.

Registration form are available online at cheneyrodeo.com, or by calling 235-2754 or sending a fax request to 235-6882. Forms may be emailed to answers@cheneyrodeo.com.
