Cheney track and field teams wasted little time in getting busy with competition after a long spring break layoff. The Blackhawks opened up Great Northern League meet competition Thursday, traveling to Pullman where the Greyhounds prevailed 106-35 over the Cheney boys and 75-70 over the girls.
Abby Hammermeister, KD Skillingstad, Johanna Sherman, Kinsey Pease and Courtney Schwendiman all notched first place finishes against the Greyhounds.
