Eastern Washington University alumnus and “Spawn” creator Todd McFarlane returns to campus June 14-15.

Eastern Washington University is proud to welcome back to campus Todd McFarlane, an entertainment and business mogul and an international awarding-winning artist, during its Commencement weekend June 14-15.

Todd McFarlane ‘84, who will be the keynote speaker at one of two graduation ceremonies that weekend, became a comic book sensation in the 1980s due to his work on Marvel Comics “Spider-Man” franchise. In 1992, he launched his own comic title, “Spawn,” which became one of the 1990s’ most popular heroes and launched a highly successful and diverse career that includes action...
