Paul P. Delgado passed away July 4, 2012 in Medical Lake at the age of 84. He was born Nov. 25, 1927 in Lordsburg, New Mexico to Cruz and Virginia Delgado.
Paul was raised in Lordsburg and served in the U.S. Army from late 1945 to early 1947. He then spent many years in the U.S. Air Force starting in 1949, serving until his retirement in 1973. A gifted handyman, he could build anything out of anything. A wood shop, patio, flooring for the kitchen, paneling for the living room, electrical wiring, he could do it all. Paul was also a friend who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. The family has received condolences from former Olympia and Budweiser stockholders.
Paul is survived by two sons: Paul Delgado, wife Penny, children Eric, Jackie, Suzy and Dale; Michael Delgado, wife Katie and son Walter. He was preceded in death by wives Viola Delgado and Janet Delgado.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, July 13 at the Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake, at 11:15 a.m. Dress for the service is casual. Come as you are; he didn't like to dress up for anything. A wake is planned for the family at St. John's Lutheran Church following the service. A public wake is scheduled at 4 p.m. at the 114 Bar and Grille.
