Lady Hawks' ‘firsts' fail to lead to West Valley's first loss

The Cheney Lady Hawks softball team notched several firsts in their home doubleheader with Great Northern League leader West Valley last Saturday.

When Samee Silvieus scored the game's first run in the first inning, helped by an Eagles' error, Cheney became the first team to score on West Valley since Pullman on March 26 and the first team to lead the Eagles since Colville's 1-0 margin in a non-league game March 18.
