The Medical Lake's girls came out of last week with a pair of wins and a loss to Mother Nature.
The Cardinals picked up a 4-3 non-league victory over Post Falls last Tuesday and then took an easy 7-0 Great Northern League match at home against Deer Park. They were rained out in last Wednesday's non-league match with Colville.
Medical Lake was at Cheney this past Tuesday, traveled to meet Shadle Park Wednesday and is at East Valley Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
After dropping all of their singles sets against Post Falls No. 1 doubles Cassi Nilles and Kristi Kauffman defeated Macey Haddorff and Camille Barlow 6-0, 6-0. Katie Larkin and Nicole Petersen followed with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 win over Megan Pierce and Shelby Mahal.
Raquel Alsept and Blake Andrews teamed to top Brittany Engle and Ben Payton 6-1, 6-2 in the first mixed doubles set while Kelsi Brazelton and Jacob Morrison won 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4 against Cammy Saunders and Kyle Newton.
Medical Lake had little trouble with Deer Park as Abbott scored a 6-2, 6-1 win over Kalsey Moorman and Olivia Hagel won by default at No. 2 singles. In No. 3 singles Raquel Alsept defeated Brittany Lowther 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 and No. 4 Kelsi Brazelton topped Carli Schelling 6-3, 6-1.
No. 1 doubles Nilles and Kauffman won 6-0, 6-2; Brittany Vinson and Katie Larkin scored a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles with Jamie McDaniel and Nicole Petersen earning a 6-4, 6-2 in No. 3 doubles.
