A Spokane County judge ruled on May 5 that a Medical Lake woman accused of stabbing her daughter to death last September was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Sharon L. Curry, 41, stabbed Jessica Lynne Curry, 8, in the front seat of her car and then attempted to commit suicide. Because of her mental state, Superior Court Judge Richard Schroeder committed Curry to Eastern State Hospital where she could receive treatment.
