Senior Jenna Donnerberg was the only Lady Hawk to have any luck against a tenacious Pullman tennis squad last Thursday.

In the Cheney girls' opener—planned matches against Clarkston have been rescheduled for April 10—the Hawks were defeated by the Greyhounds 6-1, with Donnerberg getting a victory at No. 1 singles. Donnerberg bested Raquel Marcelo of Pullman 6-3, 6-2.

In No. 1 doubles, Greyhounds Amy Wells and Stacey Field brought down seniors Bridget Hammes and Brittney Gallagher 6-2, 6-1.

The Lady Hawks will play at home against Deer Park today (Thursday) and Medical Lake next Tuesday. Matches are at 3 p.m.

A complete team preview and results will appear in next week's Cheney Free Press.
