    As the academic year at Eastern Washington University is winding down, the most recent funds given to EWU was the College Spark Washington Grant. This grant will provide EWU with $149,573. The organization gave $1.5 million overall in community grants to help low-income students earn their college degree.     Avista Utilities announced in a June 11 news release that it is performing maintenance to its substation in Sprague. Approximately 433 customers in the town will experience an outage starting at 10 p.m. on June 19 to 4 a.m. on June 20. Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified.
