All are welcome to worship with us this Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Coffee hour follows the worship service. Christian education for grade school through adults is on hiatus until September.

You may watch our pastor’s sermons on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney.

Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible Day Camp. This year the Lutherhaven staff will once again lead our VBS program from July 16 – 20. Registration forms for children and volunteers are available on our website at http://www.emmanuelcheney.org. Please note that our VBS program is for children entering first through sixth grade this fall.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

Cheney Community Church

The Sunday morning worship service at Cheney Community Church on June 24 will feature, “His Song”, a vocal group from Spokane. They will lead the entire service which begins at 10 a.m. The public is invited to come enjoy the music and testimony of this outstanding musical group. A love offering will be taken.

Bible classes for adults and teens are held at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays. Nursery and children’s church are available during the main worship service.

Our youth group meets every Monday at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Cheney Congregational Church

Cheney Congregational is not like other churches. Stop by some Sunday morning and check us out. You’ll find our building accessible and our people too. Stay afterward for coffee hour and get acquainted.

Pastor David Krueger-Duncan and members Shelby Duncan and Rhonda Jared attended the annual meeting of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches in San Diego last weekend. Rhonda will be our guest in the pulpit this Sunday, speaking about “What I saw in San Diego”.

Today, June 28, we provide lunch for street kids in Spokane at Crosswalk.

If you haven’t stopped to smell the roses lately, be sure to make time to do so. Our rose garden is a sight (and fragrance) to behold. All the rose bushes were a gift from the family of George Robertson.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside this Sunday.

Attention all college students: The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, meets each Monday evening at 5 p.m. for dinner, study and worship, and invites all college students to join us. For more information contact Soule at (509) 844-2553.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

Our congratulations to all graduates.

The vegetable garden boxes are planted, the vegetables are growing. We are looking forward to bringing fresh, healthy vegetables to the Cheney Food Bank this summer.

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship at the United Methodist Church this Sunday where you will find a warm summer welcome. Pastor Pat Sleeth will continue a sermon series based on the book, “Always Wear Clean Underwear and Other Ways Parents Say I Love You.” This week’s topic is “Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover.” Pastor Alissa Bertsch is on vacation.
