Cheney School District announces summer nutrition program

The Cheney School District has released the schedule for its Simplified Summer Food Program for Children. All meals will be made available at no charge to attending children 18 years of age and younger, with adults charged $4.
Meals will be served at Cheney High School, 460 N. Sixth St., from June 25 – July 27, with no meals served July 3 and 4. Breakfast is from 8 – 8:30 a.m., with lunch from 11:30 – 12:15 p.m. Monday — Friday.
Meals will also be served at Cheney and Westwood middle schools from June 25 – July 20, with times and days identical to those at Cheney High School. Cheney Middle School is located at 740 Betz Road, with Westwood Middle School located at 6120 S. Abbott Road. Neither school will serve meals July 3 and 4.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information should contact the agency (state or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
