Cheney High’s boys track and field team stayed unbeaten in Great Northern League dual meet competition with a 77-68 win at West Valley last Wednesday. The Blackhawks won 11 of 17 events to run their record to 3-0 in the GNL.
Charles Johnson and Cole Omlin delivered a 1-2 senior-freshman punch by each winning a pair of events. Johnson took first in the 100 and 200-meter dashes with times of 10.96 seconds in the former and 21.48 in the latter — a new personal record. Omlin captured the high jump with a leap of 6 feet even and won the triple jump at 43-00.
