The Airway Heights Planning Commission had a straight-forward meeting on April 11 that included two public hearings.
The first one was on the Garfield street project. The city performed a SEPA review for the second phase of the project that includes reconstructing Russel Road to Sprague Avenue. There were no citizen comments.
The second hearing concerned the Sunset Elementary School expansion that also included a SEPA review. The added construction includes 10 classrooms, a new gymnasium, improved security entrance and additional parking to the existing school.
