Cheney

Congregational Church

Everyone is invited to be with us for an hour Sunday mornings. We are a community of seekers and we welcome people in all stages of spiritual journey and all diversities of life value.

Pastor Rev. David Krueger-Duncan will continue the Easter season lessons on the topic of resurrection. Special music will be provided by Mary Ormsby and Ryan Gunn performing “You’ve Got a Friend.” Please stay after for coffee, refreshments and conversation. You will feel welcomed.

Good food and conversation happens at the “Lunch Bunch” in the fellowship hall at noon on April 19. It is potluck and all are welcome. Men’s breakfast will start at 7:45 a.m. on April 22 at The Marketplace Bakery & Eatery where all men are welcome to a friendly and free-form conversation.

Choir practice starts at 5 p.m. Thursdays and all singers and wanna-be singers are welcome. Feed Cheney takes place at 5:30 p.m. April 30 at the Wren Pierson Building.

United Methodist Church

The “Birthday Bunch” from the United Methodist Church will gather at the Harvester Restaurant in Spangle on Saturday April 21. The no-host breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. and will celebrate April birthdays.

Worship with us at UMC Sunday morning as pastor Alissa Bertsch continues a sermon series based on the musical cantata, “Our Father” by Pepper Chaplin. The choir will perform “Holy Be Thy Name” from the cantata. Pastor Pat Sleeth will assist with the service. Sunday School for elementary and middle school students is at 9 a.m.

On Wednesday, April 25, UMC will host a bell and piano concert, the Ring Praise Ministry, at 7 p.m. Phyllis Tincher on bells and pianist Sean Rogers will provide music and praise in a concert free to the public. Please join us.

Emmanuel

Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, April 22. Coffee hour follows the worship service in the fellowship hall. Christian education for grade school through adults begins at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

St. John’s

Lutheran Church in Medical Lake

A spring women’s gathering will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Medical Lake this Saturday, April 21. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. (Cost is $5 and includes lunch.) Morning refreshments will be provided by Emmanuel Lutheran, Cheney.

We will also get to meet Emmanuel’s new pastor, Adrianna Arends. Our program follows this social time. The theme is “Outreach In Our Community” and will include three speakers: Joanna Williams will talk about Feed Medical Lake Susie Brown and Marye Jorgenson will share information on Friends For Children and Marilyn Yonkie will tell us about Medical Lake Community Outreach. This will be followed by music by Becky Sturm and Joanna Williams and lunch. For more information or to register, call Margie Bonk at (509) 998-6449.

Of course, you are always invited to Sunday morning worship with Sunday school for children ages three through sixth grade. Adult Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.
