Medical Lake's Circuit Breakers win robotics title at Clackamas

The Medical Lake High School Circuit Breakers robotics team returned from competition last weekend in Clackamas, Ore. with a state title and are now poised to compete at nationals in Houtson, Texas the last week of April.

"We won the event, a first for the program," coach Daniel Soeland wrote in an email.

"We set the highest match score for the event, 601 points."To accomplish that feat the Circuit Breakers worked with two other teams in an alliance. Those schools and teams were Bear Metal out of Maple Valley, Wash. and Mystic Biscuit from Bend, Ore.What makes their title a bigger accomplishment is that the Circuit Breakers competed in just two events prior to last week. "So winning an event is huge," Soeland added.
