Cheney Congregational Church

Cheney Congregational Church invites everyone to join us in worship Sunday. Communion will be served and is open to all who wish to participate. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will continue his thought-provoking sermon series addressing alternatives to violence in the schools and nation. We are a welcoming congregation that accepts diverse viewpoints. Join us for coffee, conversation and fellowship following the service.

Choir practice is Thursday at 5 p.m. under the direction of Kate Francis. Those who enjoy singing are invited to attend.

We would like to thank Jim and Jenine Miller for sharing their honey and their knowledge of bees at the Honey Tasting, Feb. 26th. Everyone came away with a better understanding of beekeeping and discovered the different flavors of honey.

Four Lakes Community Church

We are a non-denominational Village Missions Church. We exist to exalt the Lord, to educate and edify the saints and evangelize the lost. All are welcome.

Our upcoming sermon will by pastor Sean Carney on Genesis 2:18-25 entitled “Leave and Cleave – Marriage.” Our worship services combine contemporary choruses and traditional hymns.

Join us for Tuesday women’s Bible study, Wednesday music practice, Thursday AWANA all at 6:30 p.m. and Friday men’s breakfast and Bible study at 7 a.m.

Heritage Baptist Church

As a church we love to sing songs of the faith. We are a small group who is seeking the truth from God’s word. If you really want to know what God expects from each of us, come Sunday night.

During the month of March, we will be celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, or the Easter season as the Bible presents it. We will be “Marching forth with the Truth” of the central teaching of Christianity, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and raised from the dead to pay the penalty for our sin. His death and resurrection guarantee our everlasting life. We anticipate your presence with us during this special time of worship.

One of the 20th Century’s greatest evangelists, the Rev. Billy Graham went home to be with his Lord this week. Rejoice with him and pray for his remaining family during this time.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside this Sunday.

The Lenten soup/study, “Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John,” began Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 5:30 p.m. and will run for five consecutive sessions through March 21st in the parish hall at St. Paul’s. For further information call Susan Durrie at (509) 235-4273.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, meets each Monday evening at 5 p.m. for dinner, study and worship, and invites all college students to join us. For more information contact Rev. Soule at 844-2553.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Please join us on the third Sunday of Lent at the United Methodist Church this week. Pastor Pat Sleeth will continue the Lenten sermon series based on Rev. Mike Slaughter’s book, “Made for a Miracle.” The focus this Sunday is the “Miracle of Love.” Pastor Alissa Bertsch will assist with the service as we continue to explore what extraordinary things God can do in ordinary lives.

There is a weekly soup supper and Lenten study each Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the church. This study is also based on the book, “Made for a Miracle.”

A multi-age Sunday school classes precede worship at 9 a.m. for elementary and middle school student. Come and study and worship with us and stay for a time of fellowship.
