Judith E. Adley Hughes

Judith E. Adley Hughes, 81, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 peacefully in her sleep at the Hospice House South Hill in Spokane, Wash.

Judith "Judy" was born to the late N. Buyer Adley and Romina Elaine Colby on Aug. 4, 1936 in Billings, Mont. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ator Mont Hughes, Spokane, and children, Sean Hughes and Melissa Lopez, both of Cheney; a daughter-in-law Reny Hughes, Spokane; five granddaughters; Adley Pearson, Mercedes Dreher, Melitta Inman, Mikala Hicks, Michelle Colby Hughes; and a grandson Jacub Beyer Hughes; four great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew J. Hughes, Jan. 27, 2017.

Judy was a remarkable woman. She will always have a cherished place in our memories and in our hearts. She enjoyed her time singing and playing piano, volunteering at the local elementary school, studying genealogy and being outdoors.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her. Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
