The Wispies Beauty Salon is located at 112 North Jefferson Street in Medical Lake and offers a variety of services to their customers.
If somebody needs a relaxing day, Wispies Beauty Salon in Medical Lake can take care of it. Even though the salon has been open for about 15 years, there have been a few different locations for the local shop. Currently, it is located at 112 North Jefferson Street and it is open Tuesday through Saturday with hours from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Wispies offers a variety of products including haircuts, hair coloring, perms, manicures, pedicures, tanning, eyelash extensions, massages, waxing and even has a florist on staff to help put together floral arrangements.
"We have a fun and friendly atmosphere here," Makayla Raulston, a stylist in the salon said. "It is like a family here. People enjoy coming to this place to work."
With keeping it local, Raulston just recently moved back to Medical Lake after growing up in the community. She has currently worked at Wispies for around three months, but has been in the profession for four years altogether.
The salon has three stylists, two florists and a massage employee in the building, which adds up to being a busy business. The regular customers will be consistent and come in on the same day and time.
According to Raulston, everyone in town also knows the owner of the shop, Agnes Hargrove, and loves her dearly.
"Out of all the salons that I have worked at, this is the best one I have ever been at," Raulston said.
The prices are also competitive, $15 for a woman's haircut and $10 for men. Adding hair coloring will range from $40-65.
The newest thing that Raulston has taken up is offering eyelash extensions. The starting price sfor this service begin at $65, but Raulston will run promotions that will lower the price for prospective customers.
