Jennifer Harbick was one of six valedictorians for Cheney High School's 2017 graduating class.

Jennifer Harbick lived in Tigard, Ore. until she moved to Cheney in fifth grade. She plans on going to college after graduation, most likely at Western Washington University.

Her goal has been to be a valedictorian since third-grade where she first learned about what the position was.

She does not currently know what her goals are for the future, but she wants to major in theater at college while also having an interest in computer science. The Cheney High School Drama Club has been the main reason why Harbink went to school every day, which will be the thing she will miss most after graduation.

Her mom has been the most influential person in her life, always encouraging her.

"Also, go support Cheney High School band and drama," Harbick added.
