Moore earns degree from Stephen F. Austin

Kelsey Moore of Fairchild Air Force Base received a bachelor of science in human sciences from Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, Texas, during commencement exercises in May.

Simonsen graduates from George Fox University, Pendelton makes dean’s list

Cheney High School alumna Kelly Simonsen recently graduated from George Fox University with a bachelor of arts in history. She was one of 900 undergraduate, adult degree and graduate-level students who received diplomas in commencement ceremonies at the university this spring.

Medical Lake High School alum Jonah Pendleton made the university’s dean’s list for spring semester. Pendleton is majoring in cinema and media communication. Simonsen made the dean’s list as well.

Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean’s list.

Hallett Elementary to be host sote for Medical Lake Rec Center Wednesdays

Hallett Elementary School will be the site for Medical Lake Rec Center Wednesdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on July 12, 19 and 26.

There will be activities for the whole family. Children from ages 1-18 can receive lunch courtesy of the Medical Lake School District’s free summer meals program.
