Cheney hires two assistant principles for high school

Cheney Public Schools has announced that Anna Campbell and Stacy Delcour have been selected as new assistant principals for Cheney High School. In a June 9 news release, the district said Campbell and Delcour will begin their new positions in July and replace current CHS assistant principals Gregg Hare and Ray Picicci, who are both moving to Mead School District after providing years of dedicated service to CHS students.

Campbell is a 2001 graduate of Santa Clara University, receiving her master’s degree from the University of Portland in 2002 and more recently her administrative leadership certification from Sierra Nevada College in 2013. She is currently a principal assistant at Garry Middle School in the Spokane School District and was an administrative intern and instructional coach from 2013 – 2015 in Reno, Nev. in addition to serving as English Department Chair for five years and teaching there for 11 years.

Delcour graduated from Washington State University in 1993 and received her master’s in educational administration there in 2001. She has served the past three years at East Valley Middle School as assistant principal, prior to which she was dean of students/activities coordinator for three years at West Valley High School.

Delcour taught at West Valley for the preceding 11 years and in Spokane Valley Alternative Programs for six years.

Neither Campbell or Delcour will be responsible for athletics in their assistant principal roles. The district is posting a teacher on special assignment position for the athletics director position, funded by a previously-budgeted instructional coaching position.
