A week ago the Medical Lake baseball team was struggling, having lost four out of five games and sinking towards uncertainty.
But head coach Kerry Kelly was sensing things were changing, particularly with attitudes. Now three straight wins - 8-7 over Lakeside, 9-3 at Deer Park and 11-1 over Riverside - have helped put the team into a position for the postseason.
Their Saturday win over Riverside added an exclamation point to the brief streak, sparked, perhaps by a chat he had with the infield crew and pitcher early in the game.
