Amy Louise McGreevy

Amy Louise McGreevy was born on May 14, 1982 in Pomeroy, Wash.  She passed from this earth too early at the age of 34 on April 10, 2017 in Spokane.

Amy grew up in Lynden, Wash., graduating from Lynden High School in 2000. Amy graduated from Gonzaga University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and Colorado State University-Boulder with her master's degree in educational psychology.

She ultimately returned to Washington to work in education with Eastern Washington University and Excelerate Success. She was always a proponent of the underdog.

Amy is survived by her daughter, Kaela Joyce Anadale, parents Doug and Debbie McGreevy of Cheney, siblings Jim (Gaby) of Royal City, Wash., Mary (Joe) Johnson of Gilbert, Ariz. and Stephanie (Marc) Hildesheim of Rathdrum, Idaho, along with nephews Malachy, Eamonn, and Hudson and nieces Brenna, Olivia, Erin, Faith, Emily and Alannah.  Also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

"Most importantly love like it's the only thing you know how to do, for at the time of the day all this means nothing.  This page, where you're sitting, your degree, your job, the money, nothing even matters except love and human connection. Who you loved and how deeply you loved them, how you touched the people around you and how much you gave them."

The family asks donations be made to the Kaela Anadale Benefit Fund at any STCU branch, account number 404314 or to Excelerate Success through United Way. A Service was held April 18. Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visit Amy's online guestbook at cheneyfuneral.com.
