Bus transporation offered at 10th Clean Sweep

 

Cheney's annual Clean Sweep involves residents of all ages in keeping the city looking clean by picking up a variety of garbage.

Cheney's 10th annual community clean-up day is right around the corner, and has a couple changes in store.

Cheney Clean Sweep takes place Saturday, April 22, with volunteers gathering at Veterans Memorial Park at 8:30 a.m. before fanning out across the city to pick up trash over the next three hours. Last year, 304 volunteers helped out, a number Planning Department GIS/permit technician and Clean Sweep coordinator Sue Beeman said included city and local businesses employees.
