Cheney High School student artists honored

Several Cheney High School students were honored for their artwork at the 44th annual NEWESD 101 High School Art Show on March 17.

Sarah Hagedorn earned first place with her work “Reach,” and will advance to the May 19 Superintendent’s High School Art Show in Olympia.

Isabelle Smith and Madison Kallsen received the Judge’s Choice Award for their work. Maggie Booth was awarded the Superintendent Choice Award for her work, “Daniel.”

ML ‘Swingin’ Under the Stars’ fundraiser

The Medical Lake middle school and high school jazz bands will perform at their annual “Swingin’ Under the Stars” fundraiser in the middle school cafeteria, Saturday, April 22 from 5:30-8 p.m. The cost is $8 for ages 10 and up and free for 9 and under.

CHS Talent Show scheduled for April 26

Cheney High School is holding a talent show, April 26, starting at 6 p.m. in the Little Theater. General admission is $5 and students get in free with their ASB card.
